Benjamin Engeli rides the train for 1000 kilometres per week to commute between his 60 concert appearances in Europe’s
concert halls, his many jury- and teaching duties and his commitment as a family father. This versatility is mirrored in his great stylistic range as a pianist. He has drawn attention to himself with CD-productions featuring works by Bach and Brahms up to Gershwin and the most recent contemporary music. His repertoire includes more than 50 piano concertos, a great number of solo works and practically the entire important chamber music literature. He initially gained prominence as a member of the Tecchler Trio, with which he won the ARD Music Competition in Munich in 2007. Currently he is a member of the Ensemble Kandinsky, the Hegar Trio and is much in demand as a musical partner of many of his fellow musicians. benjamin@gershwinpianoquartet.com www.benjaminengeli.com |
